AVENTURA COMMUNITY ATHLETICS

North Miami Beach's City of Excellence, Aventura, knows that athletics and community events are an excellent way to socialize, unify citizens, and build a strong sense of cooperative spirit. Accordingly, Aventura offers a number of sports and activities to its residents year round. For more information on community athletics or to register call Founders Park at (305)466-0183.

Adult Men's Softball Available for men 18 years and older, the adult men's softball season runs from February-May; June-August; and September-December. The leagues are registered with the ASA and there are approximately 12 games per season. Non-residents area accepted contingent on space availability.

Basketball These leagues are for Community Recreation Center members and are held on the center's indoor basketball courts.

Flag Football- Youth Registration is required for this program, and it is offered in September. Non-residents may participate on a space-available basis. The registration fee provides participants with a shirt and a season's-ending celebration.

Soccer- Youth The local youth soccer season takes place from January-March for girls and boys between the ages of 5-12. Registration is required for this program. The registration fee provides participants with a shirt as well as a season's-ending celebration. Participants must supply shin guards and soccer shoes.

T-Ball & Softball- Youth The Youth Softball and Youth T-Ball activities take place in March-June. Registration is required for this program. Resident and non-residents are accepted according to space availability. The registration fee provides participants with a shirt as well as a season's-ending celebration.

T-Ball- Youth Both boys and girls between the ages of 4-6 years old are eligible to play in this community league.

Softball- YouthBoys and girls between 5-14 years old are eligible to play in this league.

Community Youth Activities Residents of Williams Island and their families have no shortage of programs available to entertain youth when school is out. With an 8-week Summer Camp Program, Spring Camp, Winter Camp, and Teacher Planning Days, the community makes sure that its youth have ample opportunity to be productive as well as have fun.

Teacher Planning Days and Camps Children ages 5-12 are eligible for this program, located at the Community Recreation Center. Spring and Winter Camps Packed with activities, sports, field trips, arts, crafts, theme parties, and games, these camps are chock-full of constructive fun for children during their breaks from school. Summer Camp This 8-week program is for children between the ages of 5-12, however youth between 13-15 years old are eligible to participate in the camp's Camper-In-Training program.
