As it happens, there is no shortage of golf schools or golf clinics in Miami, so improving your game is within easy reach here. In fact, a sundry of Miami golf clubs and resorts were designed by prominent golf course architects, such as the course at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables which was designed by Donald Ross. This spectacular course features full practice provisions in a state of the art facility, private instruction, a full-service Pro Shop as well as a John Pallot Golf Academy. This course also features one of the biggest practice/driving ranges in the southeast alongside an impressive clubhouse, restaurant and bar.
Possibly the most well-known area golf course is Blue Monster. This course, which is located at Doral Golf Resort & Spa, is one of five 18-hole championship courses on the site. A long-time host of the PGA tour, Blue Monster is also the home course for the World Golf Championship - CA championship at Doral, which features the Official World Golf Ranking's top 50 golf players. The Gold Course at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa was designed by Raymond Floyd; and the Silver Course was refinished by Jerry Pate. With scores of outstanding golf courses in the area, it is no mystery why professional tournaments call Miami home.

Having recently undergone a$30 million dollar renovation, the Fairmont Turnbery Isle Resort & Club offers 36 holes to test all skill levels. Both championship courses were completely redesigned by World Golf Hall of Famer Raymond Floyd. This club hosted the 2008 Stanford International Pro Am, an official LPGA tour event. Located in the center of Miami, this Mark Mahannah masterpiece may hold the reputation for the best layout in the South Florida area. Prior to its purchase in 2001 by the Miccosukee Indian Tribe, this course was formerly known as the Miami National Golf Club and was host to many LPGA and PGA events, including those attended by Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer.
