INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

A gateway for International and Ibero-American film, the Miami International Film Festival is exclusive in its geographical and cultural position, making it a top-ranking venue for showcasing film and stimulating film business throughout the year.

More than purely a superb setting to view exceptional movies, it is a site for novice filmmakers and fans alike to familiarize themselves about the process of filmmaking through lectures and workshops. An estimated 70,000 audience members and 300 filmmakers were in attendance last year, and the numbers are predicted to get even more substantial.

As a Miami Dade College artistic event, MIFF is guided by an internationally respected institution and cultural beacon. Additionally, MIFF's screening venues are as nonpareil as the films themselves. Three theaters are located in historic landmarks - the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts, a magnificent movie palace tailor made for the event; the Colony Theater located on Lincoln Road in the nucleus of South Beach; and the Tower Theater in Miami's culturally vivacious Little Havana community.

Without a doubt, the Miami International Film Festival gives the film industry an unprecedented dais that stimulates technical as well as creative talents and the residents of Williams Island, the city, and its visitors exposure to entertainment and innovation that is unparalleled.
