Calle Ocho Festival

The pinnacle of Carnival Miami, Calle Ocho is 23 blocks of entertainment for children and adults of any age. The largest open house of the year is split into three distinct areas - the KidzZone, with four blocks of clowns, fun foods, sports teams, magicians, and merchandise; the Parranda Zone, filled with street dancers, strolling musicians, and a carnival-like atmosphere; and the North and South of SW 8th Street, which is lined with hundreds of kiosks featuring international fare, taste testing and free product sampling. Over a million people hail in from all over the globe to explore this celebration of Latin culture, salsa in the streets, partake in Cuban cuisine, and immerse themselves in the bright lights and big flavors of Calle Ocho.

Miami-Dade County Fair Exposition

One of the largest family attractions and successful fairs in the nation, this spectacular springtime event draws nearly 700,000 visitors annually. It offers close to 100 outstanding rides, dozens of games, nearly 170 food vendors, gift shopping, almost to 50,000 adult and student exhibits, the World of Agriculture, competitions, a daily Mardi Gras parade, live entertainment, and plenty of free parking.

Viernes Culturales

Also known as Cultural Fridays, Viernes Culturales is a social arts and culture fair that transpires on the last Friday of each month in Miami's historic Little Havana. This dramatic venue for brilliant artists and entertainers gives visitors an occasion to partake in an evening of diversity and culture while celebrating the distinctive flavors of Latin America. Featuring outdoor musical performances on stage as well as along the sidewalks of Calle Ocho, art galleries and cultural centers, art exhibits in open areas and plazas, delectable fare and tasting at participating restaurants, as well as free walking tours of Little Havana, the Cultural Fridays is an extraordinary multicultural event for all ages.
